garage sales aren't for the lazy...

anyone watch clean house? i do. and no it's not just cause i think niecy nash has a nice body. it's part of my whole, "diy" persona. i love to watch anything that has to do with remolding, fixing up your home, or that is entertaining. and clean house is pretty damn entertaining. it's interesting to see how people live sometimes. you think your place is dirty. or how you should spend a day cleaning out a closet, attic, or garage. and you tune into this show that makes your home seem like the cleanest home in the world.

besides the actual cleaning, a big part of the show is devoted to making the families get ride of their junk. letting go of their clutter and changing their obsessive ways. so you catching the gist? dirty house. they clean it up. then they make them sell their excessive junk. and they get a brand new clean space. sounds simple enough right? except they rarely show you how long it actually takes to sort through the junk. if you ever watch the "clean house: coming clean" you see it takes a lot. going through shit, deciding what you need, want, or can live without....is not easy. this is how i feel about garage sells.

like i see people on the side of the road all the time, selling useless shit. basically they are saying.."this is shit i don't need in my house...why don't you come buy it to clutter up yours". don't get me wrong. there are "treasures" found at garage sales all the time. like you always wanting a collection of garbage pail kids trading cards. yea...you can find 500 cards for $5, which is a steal. but um...er..exactly what are you going to do with that shit? junk is junk. they should do what everyone else does with their junk...donate that shit to the salvation army, goodwill, or the red cross. it would go to more use by someone who has nothing. then someone looking for a good deal on your old bullshit couch. so what's my verdict...people who have garage sells aren't lazy. they just are selfish. forgo the money and get a tax deduction instead. it saves in the long run and you help out people who need it...

I love watching clean house! I love anything on HGTv too. Sounds boring but its exciting as hell to me. Lol. I don't do garage sells either. My mom did however find a pack b play for jasmine for her house. They were selling the entire thing for 15 bucks when the one I have cost 130 bucks. That's a damn steal! They probably coulda sold it for more on ebay! But whateva, after it was washed, my baby sleeps in it soundly at her grandparents house.
