question time...

it's funny, when we're young..everyone is our friend. we talk to, play with, get along with everyone. then there comes that magical time where we get that "best friend". that one person who is like a sibling, but we don't fight with them. that one person who we love like we're related to them. that one person who will bail you out of jail at 3:32am or even be in jail with you because they are down for whatever. we all have people in our life that are irreplaceable. if not, we wish we did. my question this week is.....

Q. what are your friend requirements?

what do you look for in a friend. what separates your friends from associates? i will of course follow up with a my answer in another post.

my BFF is an awesome woman - she is my soulmate so to speak minus the penis. She is considerate, understanding and will let me know when I am as wrong as two left shoes in the tub. She knows me, my mannerisms, my deep sigh, my facial expressions. She is my go to for everything... EVERYTHING. God, prayer, love, hate, hurt, conflict - she always listens and generally will not offer unsolicitated advice but moreso a point of you. She is very much in tune with most of my flaws and though she cannot appreciate them, she accepts me fully.

My associates do not get ALL of me. It is just not neccessary. We are simply cordial.

I don't think I look for a certain things in friends. My bff is the opposite of me ...the totally opposite...we grew up different and we live different but no matter how much we fight, don't speak often or whatever the case her loyalty is never questioned and i can always count on her no matter what.

My bestfriend is Krissy tall n' lite lol. We're so much a like that we tend to finish eachother sentences.

I've noticed at all my really good friends and I kind of act alike lol. We're all goody and sarcasic. We're all good for making inside jokes and laughing at it randomly. We're all intellegent and attractive ( yes yes, its true lol) but the main thing is, we have a lot in common and we're all very giving and compassionate people. I think that's what draws is to eachother to begin with.

My associates I could take or leave. I don't value their friendship as highly as I do my actual friends. And more than likely I don't fully trust someone who I just see as an associate whereas I trust my friends completely.

@freckles: i feel you, your friend sounds like one of those, "one in lifetime" types. you're lucky. i'm guilty of giving associates more of me. that's how i end up getting stiffed in the end.

@sunshinestar110: you seem to like opposites in EVERYTHING. lol. who do you like, that is like you?

@krissy: i got friends that represent all the qualities you're saying. i have one that is just like me it's scary. one that is the opposite then me, but somehow like me. and if all of your friends are intelligent and attractive, i might have them some potential boyfriends. i'm just saying...
