question time...

time to hit yall with another question.

Q. What is your idea of a dream date?

we'll call this one research of a romantic. i'm very interested in what you'd consider a dream date. maybe you like an extravagant production. or you're spontaneous and like "on the go" fun. forget all the dates of your past. what is your dream date? what would leave you speechless?

my answer will follow in a follow up blog.

To me...coming home to a path of roses that lead to the bathroom where a bubble bath is ran...Being fed choc strawberries and wine while bathing...Then a romantic candlelit dinner and making love all night...My ex did this for me on our first valentines day...It was the most romantic night of my life...Of course there was a lil more but you get the gist...

For me the perfect date has nothing to do with the actual activities but more to do with the person. Great conversation, the spark, electricity between the two of us. I want the can't keep your hands off of the person, no awkward silences type deal. We could be at a 5 star restaurant or a park bench. As long as the chemistry is on point the actual activity doesn't matter. I went on a date that was perfection as far as activity but there was no spark. So it didn't even make a difference that the setting was great and food and drinks were on on point.

I'm gonna sound so corny but REALLY, DaBossBitch took the words out of my mouth... I'm not really a date person- I think the situation forces romance... It's totally about the person... We could just be walking the streets of London and it could be the most romantic thing ever... Activity doesn't matter at all.

My perfect date also has nothing to do with destination. I could care less where we go. I'm all about the company and the conversation. The glances. the sweet heart felt words. The hand holding. The hugs. The kisses. The touches. That all sets the mood for a perfect evening. I am a true romantic, so for me the little things are what sway me. What's perfect is knowing someone really loves being with you and it shows in their actions.

I remember elaborating on something similar to this in a previous post that you wrote in which I said a date didn't have to be about money. He and I could be on the Wii, order in pizza and I'd be content with that as long as I was feeling him. Well now that you've thrown in what would be my DREAM date in an attempt to leave me speechless; well I'd be completely taken aback if the regular ol' "What are you doing this weekend" question was re-phrased to say, "Pack a bag for the weekend, bring your passport and those heels I like." I'm completely into the spontaneous thing so that would be right up my alley. My jaw would so drop then!

That would leave me speechless as well. My guy being spontaneous and just planning everything out and showing me a wondeful time. We don't even need passports! Lol

loquacious? that's me!

i feel like i had a dream date a couple weeks ago...we chilled by the pool, had a couple drinks...got a lil freaky in & out of the water...conversation was good...constant affection...went back to my apt...turned some music on...danced a lil bit...then sat on my bed...i grabbed the oil & gave him a massage...then we watched family guy & went to sleep, lol.

me & my dude are not in the highest tax bracket so i don't really think of extravagant things...i also have an aversion to cliches so rose petals & roses & general do nothing for me (i will take a nice bouquet of orchids...or an orchid plant...tulips if the money is extra tight).

like the other ladies said, it's who i'm with that matters...not what we do...& since i'm diggin dude & everything is fresh spankin new, all our dates have seemed like dream dates so far...

@jstar: that's my idea of romantic too. i am a rose petals, draw you a bath, massage you, foreplay guy. i like to tease & please. lol..women that have let me will tell you i try to make shit special. surprisingly i've ran into women who don't appreciate or like that shit, which totally throws me off my game.

@dabossbitch: i agree. chemistry is key. i hate when you get to a point where there is no chemistry but there is love. it's like..do we try or do we let this shit go.

@f: yup yup you sound all corny..lol i'm playing. naw. sometimes ppl say exactly what you're thinking. activity doesn't matter at all to me if i'm with someone i love to be with we could be under a tree on a deserted island for all i care.

@luvlymskrissy: that is everything to me. someone showing me the way they feel about me. that means much more than them telling me. i like affection. i like when someone can't get enough of you.

@starla monae: thank you for answering the speechless part. i feel like if a woman works you up enough you get to that point where you just want to leave her speechless. i find too many women expect that "pack a bag.." shit when they aren't doing shit to garner no "pack a bag" treatment. simply put..if you still making me "wait"....you gonna be "waiting" to pack that bag. i'm saying..

@isis: i'm so convinced i dated you..lol. the chick i told you i dated that looks just like you..loved orchids. and i bought her ass like a few plants and she loved that shit. crazy crazy crazy...

i'm glad you and dude are enjoying one another. that's what's so beautiful about love...
